Four play parties have closed in Los Angeles in recent months.

Each closure had its own circumstances. Together, however, they raise larger questions about the future of women’s participation in erotic, alternative, and sex-positive spaces.

• What makes women feel genuinely safe?

• Why do women attend these spaces—and why do they stop returning?

• What does it mean for a space to welcome women, rather than merely allow them to enter?

• What responsibilities do hosts, organizers, and community leaders carry?

• And what should we create next?

This is not a play party.

There will be no performances, play activities, demonstrations, or expectation of sexual participation. This is an afternoon for conversation, reflection, connection, and honest exchange.

Women will be invited to share their experiences, concerns, observations, and ideas about the spaces currently available to us—and the spaces we may want to build in the future.

THE CONVERSATION

Possible discussion topics include:

• Why women attend—or stop attending—play spaces

• Safety, consent, screening, and accountability

• The difference between being included and being centered

• Women-centered leadership and event design

• Trust, privacy, and community responsibility

• The needs of newcomers and experienced attendees

• What women want more of—and less of

• Why erotic communities struggle to remain sustainable

• What should be preserved, changed, or created next

The discussion will be guided, but not scripted. The purpose is not to force agreement or reach a single conclusion. It is to create space for women to speak candidly and listen to one another.

WHO IS INVITED

This gathering is open to women who are:

• Curious about alternative or sex-positive communities

• New to play parties or erotic spaces

• Experienced attendees

• Event hosts or organizers

• Educators, performers, facilitators, or professionals

• Former attendees who no longer feel represented or comfortable

• Interested in women-centered pleasure, consent, safety, and community

No previous lifestyle experience is required.

You do not need to be a current Temple of Domina guest or member to attend.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The round table will take place inside Domton Abbey, Sophia Domina’s private DTLA penthouse lounge.

Guests can expect an intimate seated discussion in a respectful, nonsexual environment.

Light refreshments will be available.

Attendance is free, but advance RSVP is required. Space will be intentionally limited so the conversation can remain personal, focused, and useful.
